The side armor is crap. I mean, it works, but the mounting is crap. You'll wait to drill two holes for the self tappers and weld the rest in.

Trust me.

Properly secured, they work great. Some say that stick out too far but they have kept my doors in god shape for a while. A buddy of mine went through the same obstacle that I did and tore his jeep up because his sliders were too narrow. And on top of it they make a great step.

The rear flares mount to the corner guards/armor. If you dont get the corner guards you will have to cut off ~1" - 1.5" off the end of the sliders or they will interfere with the flares. The corners raise them up and allow them to tuck into that slot.

Been reading through this forum for awhile finally registered. Thanks for the info on these tube fenders and guards. How hard is it to install the front fenders with limited tools? What would you guys recommend to cover up so you cant view the engine from underneath? by the way timatoe your jeep looks awesome in that paint. Is that burnt orange?

It's not hard at all. Just read directions all the way thru first then tear it up. I used a grinder and a sawzall. You will need both. You don't remove the inner well at all. You just trim down the fender. You can see in this pic the outline you need to cut

i guess you have to be commited to the build cause once those fenders come off they are off for good! i just painted my rig Jeep Green Metallic with a black out grill and front bumber...i think these extras would look awesome.

They would definitely protect that paint if you put it up against a tree trunk on a trail also.

Welcome to the forum!

Do the rear fenders allowed for any additional tire clearance or is the clearance the same as stock?
