Size & pitch of front bumper bolts?

Seems like every Jeep I looked at when trying to buy one was either missing the front or rear bumper.

This one is missing the front, so I'm in a bind since I want to buy a new bumper (hoping a SmittyBuilt SRC won't look too bad on it since it isn't lifted yet http://www.4wheelparts.com/Bumpers-T..._pn=S%2fB76721 ), but most bumper instructions seem to require the use of the original bolts.

I don't want to use the original star-bolts anyway, and want to buy hex-heads.

Does anyone know the size(s) of the front bumper bolts on a 1991 YJ?

thank you!

Thanks guys.

Just bought two 1 1/2" long Grade 8's, and two 1 1/4" long Grade 8's for it. They fit in really well (I was surprised... figured that since the bumper and bolts were missing, and the holes rusty, that perhaps the threads were messed up).

Now to get a bumper. I'm strongly considering SmittyBilt's SRC pre-runner style bumper.

Just bought it for $199 shipped to my door from Amazon.com.

It will look OK, and it will be the bumper I think I want once the jeep gets a small lift to it.

It doesn't look too bad but you can protect a lot of stuff inside the perimeter of its tubing

Looks like you have some bolt on cage upgrades. Do you have any pics of those? Where did you get them?

Can I see a few more pictures of the bumper as well as how you have the jack mounted?

Thank you for the pic you did give.
