can you drill it out and tap it for a small screw like a 6-32 or maybe 4-40 and use a screw to pull it out ? im not sure if it would spin if you tried to drill it. probably throw some vasaline on the bit if your worried about getting metal chips in the column. just a thought, may or may not work out

If that doesn't work for ya, go down to autozone and rent the wheel puller and lock ring depressor. Around $30 but you get all that back. Now set aside about an hour to work on it and you can get the column torn apart to get down to the switch. Here is a step by step write-up that will help you thru it. Yes it is for a CJ but it is the same GM column. : http://www.epiccomputer.com/dale/jee...tilt/tilt.html

I did what Rusty suggested, and it worked great! I had the same problem, went to flash a truck so he could move in front of me, and it snapped and fell in the floorboard! I was able to turn the wiper switch off (mine was on at the time it snapped) by using a couple of dentist picks, then, push from the inside out the stub that was still in the switch. Put everything back together, and just pushed the new arm in, and I was in business. Just be careful about the high-low beam shaft that comes to the signal switch, it's a PITA to put back in right,. Good luck!!

Never could get that rod for high/low beams back in right, so I got a floor mounted switch for a cj.

Neither did I, laredo89! I gave up, not enough fingers or fingers not small enough, LOL I haven't done anything with the hi-low beam switch yet. Was thinking of going the on-the-floor route for mine as well, good idea!
