What vehicle can I buy shocks for that are approx. 3 inches over stock length front YJ shocks?

There is a write up by ashland82391 about shocks to use on a lifted heep. I'm on my phone, so copying is a pain.
IIRC he found that ford shocks from different years work.

If it's not broke- modify it, so it won't break

I didn't lift it... well not yet. I bought and am in the process of installing the m.o.r.e. front shock towers. They allow for an eye on the top and bottom and they also allow for a 3 inch longer shock. I'm on my phone too ha.

heres a thread on the ford shocks, it gives the length

.

Do everything with a positive attitude, it won't always work but you'll piss enough people off to make it worthwhile.

the voices aren't real but they sure have good ideas.

Once you have them installed measure your droop and order shocks based on the lengths needed. Try to stick to a company that sells by length rather then suspension hight.

-insert meaningless out-of-place political diatribe-

Rancho has a really good Catalog online for there shocks. I used it to find what fits then use a cross reference catalog to use other brands. http://www.e-digitaleditions.com/t/29580 Specs start on page 152.
