Shock replacement for YJ with 1" body lift

So as most already know, you go to fix one thing and 2-3 more pop up. Rear cross-member turned into chassis welding, new shackles and now new shock absorbers. I have a 1" body mount presently, brand aside do I specifically need to find one that provides a 1" lift due to there being a 1" gap or just stock length ones will do just fine. Help said jeep newbie so I can get her back on the beach and have a beer.

Body lift does not impact shock length....unless you have cut the body and need addl up travel. Best is to pull out your existing shocks, disco the sway bar and flex the heck out of it to measure for shock length.

If you have not changed the positions of where the stock shocks mount to the axle or frame - stock is fine unless you have some ridiculously long shackles.
