shock question

Got a 2" shackle lift and need some good shocks. The ones on the YJ are stock ones, maybe from 89. No major lift in the near future so don't need ones that lift to the sky. recomendations?

I have heard good things about Old Man Emu and Bilstein if you are willing to pay a little extra

You can purchase the best shocks in the world but if you are running stock springs and a 2" shackle lift they aren't going to do you much better than any decent shock would do.
You should fill out your profile for the Jeep you got BTW, will help out in the future with further questions - that way we know what you have when you need assistance, etc.
I personally opted for BDS shocks. A good price for a rather nice shock. There are quite a few that are better, but would not do me any good considering the state of the rest of my suspension and my driving style.
I would suggest getting a "hydro" style shock if you are mostly a road driver as they (from my personal experience here) tend to perform better on the pavement that nitro shocks.
Having said that, Skyjacker Hydros are about $35 a pop.
And make sure that when you get shocks you order them sized accordingly to your suspension. You have 2" of beaver tooth lift (shackle lift) so don't get a stock sized shock.
