Serpentine Belt replacement on a 1993 YJ with 4.0

Hi all,

Started the mighty beat this morning and realized I didn't have power sterring as I'm trying to turn it around in my driveway. Manhandled it and got it turned an only ran the engine about a minute. About 20 degrees out.

Stopped motor and looked under the hood and realized the sepentine belt had snapped. Wasn't looking good anyway and better it blew in the driveway.

Pushed her into the garage and and have a couple quick questions.

Is the belt from Crown anygood? I picked it up a few months ago cheap but wanted to know if they were any good.

Also, should I replace any of the pulleys while I'm in there? She had 160k miles on her.

Thanks in advance.

I always use Goodyear Gatorback belts on my cars; great quality. As far as the pulleys, I wouldn't replace them unless you were having issues.

I'm not familiar with the source of the Crown belt, but their stuff is usually quality. I got my belt from NAPA. I did check the various pulleys and the idler wheel felt pretty gritty. It was a simple, inexpensive replacement and I'd had other idlers lock-up.
