The driver seatbelt on my '93 won't retract at times, resulting in an occasional drive with a slack chest strap. i can't imagine this being safe, and i was wondering if any of you guys knew of a way to work on/grease the seatbelt retractor. thanks in advance.
Mine does the exact same thing on my '95. I just pull the cover off a little at the bottom and spin the mechanism a little with my finger. It will finally start working right again (for a little while anyways). I know this isn't a total fix, but that's what I do. I haven't taken the time to take that cover off to look deeper into the problem. HTH
Jeep with stuff.
