Seat belt question

My drivers side female end seatbelt is completely non working now and I just wanted to confirm that this seat belt from quadratec fits and works

http://www.quadratec.com/products/24247_40X_PG.htm

looking at the picture the part that bolts to the floor doesn't look angled like the oem buckle so would I have to get this to make it work?

http://www.quadratec.com/products/24247_900.htm

Thanks for the help

,J

The part that bolts to the floor is covered by the plastic sleeve in that pic. You don't need that extension, unless you've got a tall console or something making it difficult to get to.

I just bought the same seatbelt from Summit for $59. You need that bracket. Here's why

Look at the angle the new female end bolts. It is designed to bolt into a vertical surface so that the female end is also vertical.

The issue is that the Wrangler female bolt hole is horizontal. The OEM end has a bend in it so that the end sticks up. The new one does not.

You need to buy the angle piece from quadratec. Note, that is just ONE angle in that price.

Then you need to bolt the new female end into the angle bracket.

I literally just did this a few days ago.

Or, get a piece of 1" x 1/4" bar stock, bend it and drill two holes in it.

I had to fix a rust hole in my floor and as part of that project I put in a 2 x 2 x 1/4 backing plate for the seat belt bolts for extra strength.

YOU DO NOT need any extra brackets when you buy that kit. What the pic does not show you is that it comes with a 90* bracket to go vertical. I have that belt on my drivers side right now.

I just went to the junk yard & got one out of an old buick $5 The strap was a little short, but I got up the nerve to take the "buckle" appart & swap out the strap & while I was at it, replaced the "GM" button w/ the orange one I had

Maybe that bracket is the $10 increase?

The one I bought from Summit lacked it. I was just going to bolt it to the floor and bend the plastic housing so that it was similar to the OEM design. But after measuring, the female end would have been lower than the seat height.

I have a center console. Factory one, but a console nontheless.
