I had a question myself. With the hybrid tcase, does this only work with the 700r or would it work with a th350 as well?

im not exactly sure but as far as i know yes. But ill find out... Cause i know the t case has to fit the output shaft on the tranny and such.

As a trans rebuilder for 10 years, I can say yes it will work but you can't use the bolt from the 700. They are metric, the 350 isn't.

yes u can use the hybrid built 231 with other trannys. just get an adapter to make it fit. OR u can use the 241 which bolts right up to the th350. And they make SYE kits for them as well

Well the thing is, I already have a 231sye. So I was hoping to just throw on the 231c front half and bolt it up. Would I need an adapter to match the bolt patterns or the shafts... or both?

The four mounting bolts that go into the rear of the transmission case. I assume you plan to use the S-10 adapter.

UPDATE:

I finally got my brackets to redo the pinion angle on my rear axle. Finished it up last night... And took it out for a test drive. And WOW, this thing has Alot of power now that i can really open it up.

Should have my front drive shaft finished up this coming week. My tube comes in wednesday. So i can finally have four wheel drive back again...

Def want it done by next weekend, cause they are opening a brand new 4x4 park like 20-30 mins from my house...

I really didn't have time to run down the whole thread, but are your keeping it for the street?
How do you pass inspection? Does Pa Have inspection?
If ANYONE has info on the inspection in Tx for this type of swap, please feel free to advise me.

I am considering this same route, possibly, I hear a rod knock on start up on my 267,000 mile 4.0 in my 91 YJ.
BTW- Truly dig your jeep, I am making progress on mine, slowly, but progress nonetheless & yours helps me envision where my is heading.

yes my jeep is still street legal. Ive driven it a bunch of times local to our play area's... But i just got some money back around to have the exhaust finally finished. And it goes wednesday for inspection. There is no difference here in what motor is in your vehicle as long as your vehicle still passes safety inspection, as we dont have emissions here...

My buddy builds pooprahs lambos and other exotics in Florida..
He has been trying to get me to do a supra motor swap for last few years..
Keeps telling me I will be more happy with it then a SBC

i gotta say, i use to wheel a Grand Cherokee with the 5.2 318 v8 right along with my wrangler with the 2.5 4cyl. And i always dreamed of the v8 power and sound in my wrangler... That grand cherokee would go places in 2wd that i was always having to use 4lo in my wrangler cause i didnt have the torque or power. Well the cherokee got sold and my wrangler now has a V8. I'll let ya know how well i like it as this weekend is going to be the first 'Hell' run we do. Well see what all bugs i gotta work out now

I always wanted to take thew 440 out of my 77 RC 4x4 and slam it into a Jeep..
But I sold it (rc) in 09 so that's not an option any longer
