Sarfari Rack and homemade shovel mount

I had been looking for a rack to transport my kayaks and canoes and lucked out, again. I found a used TJ safari rack ,, really really cheap, $75.00.

The front windsheild mount plates had to be modified by drilling one new hole and grinding off a corner for the TJ mount to fit on my YJ windsheild hinge.

The rest of the brackets fit perfectly.

For my shovel mount, I wasn't going to spend all that money to mount a $5.00 shovel. So I took some 1 1/2 PVC and 2 hose clamps. And mounted the pipe on the rack For the time being I drilled a hole on the handle and have it secured with para-cord tied to the rack.

nice liner job ....you do that ? rolled or spray? like how it comes over all edges...oh and nice rack

That is the Herculiner, I chunked the roller and "dabbed it on with the brush,,,,,, much more even and no lines. I love it over the rail...
