Safe Oil Pressure?

I fired up the "new" engine the other day and the oil pressure has caught my eye. My old engine would go from ~20psi at hot idle to ~60psi on the highway. The one I dropped in goes from ~15psi (Maybe a little lower) to ~45psi on the highway. I swapped the pressure sensor over so I know that is not the issue. I am just wondering if these pressures are safe. Thanks.

Yes you are good. IIRC the book says 40-75 at high RPMs and 15-40 at idle. Each engine acts differently depending on age and the oil and the temp. Enjoy the engine it should last a long time with care.

Typically 13-15 @ idle then 10psi/1000rpm is min spec (as read from a mechanical gauge).
