I have had my 4" lift on for a year now. The drivers side rear spring is sagging very noticably. The Jeep leans bad. When I measure from the top of the tire to the bottom of the wheel well there is almost a 2" difference.

JC Whitney has their 4" Rough Country on sale for $404.09 with free shipping until May 31st. I'll be ordering mine next week when Uncle Sam gives me back some of my hard earned money he took from me last year.

Pretty sure that Ryan has posted before NOT to purchase through JC Whitney... Yes, you get the kit, but they strip off several pieces from the actual RC kit.

I bought My rc lift a year ago from Jc whittney. Only thing I had to buy extra was the shock boots. So far, My lift has held up great. I just dropped a v-8 in it this winter and up graded to 35" tires so we'll see how it will hold up to that this summer!

My front RC springs are sagging after only about 6 months and hardly off-roading at all. I took a shot and gave them a chance. Hoping their "new" springs would be good for the price. For 500 bucks to my door I can't complain too much. Just hoping I can get new front springs for no cost and give them one more shot.

I just installed my 4" lift over the weekend. Only one part confusion in the set, got an extra body spring eye bushing and missng one shackle spring eye bushing.. nothing a lathe couldn't fix. Overall easy to put on, and very happy with how good the ride feels even on the first day (100+ mile drive home). Heres to hoping no sag problems, but i figured I should document the day of the lift just in case.

and thanks to ryan for answering the phone on a saturday to answer a question about the front shocks!

I installed my 4" kit last weekend. Not much to say about spring work; it's slow and tough. The new suspension is great. No bump steer or death wobble and I just feel more confident about it.

I had to use basically all new hardware. Instead of the track and sway bar extensions, brake line relocating bracket and related hardware, It would have been nice to have all new spring eye and shock hardware. It was only about $25 at Home Depot for new grade 8 stuff but now I've got a bunch of unnecessary parts. I also had a lot of trouble finding 5/16" bolts for the spring to frame mount.

If you're planning on replacing this stuff make sure you have replacement hardware for when you need to start cutting bolts.

I was able to re-use the upper shock pin nuts but replaced all the other old hardware.

So I mentioned a few posts back that my front springs were sagging. I sent Ryan some pictures that he asked for. Gave him a short story and description of how I wheel and stuff. He emailed me back this morning, he is sending me two new front springs out today. Rough Country may be a cheaper spring. But it is very fitting for me and I don't mind buying cheaper if it is of good quality. While not being completely impressed with the front springs. Ryan sending me two new ones will give me another shot at Rough Country which I am glad to do. Thanks Ryan

I just finished installing their 2.5" kit on my YJ yesterday.

a few notes I had about it for those considering it.

my kit was sent out to me incomplete, I recieved it with one spring missing. Well that was UPS' fault for that one, so RC sent out another spring, but that turned out to be the wrong spring, so I had to call AGAIN to get the right spring, which finally arrived ~ 2 weeks after recieving the initial kit (this was not fun considering my backup CJ was also having problems, I was in a time crunch trying to get the suspension on).

Then I was only sent enough hardware to bolt up the front axle, as I was missing all the nuts and washers for the rear axle U-bolts.

however, I got lucky in that case because I had swapped in a Ford 8.8 which required me to buy new U-bolts seperate from the kit anyways, which I did before ordering the kit, so I already had U-bolts and hardware ready for the rear, but for anyone that had the Dana35, they would again have to call RC and wait a few more days to get the necessary hardware, which I found fairly rediculous at that point.

Also, because I had an SYE, I needed to remove the shims that came with the RC springs, easy enough right? Not so fast. The center pins RC used didn't have enough thread on the pin to allow the nut to clamp the leaves together once the shims were removed, so I had to re-use the center pins off my old Black Diamond springs.

now with that, I must say the kit does ride very good, worlds better than my old black diamond springs (completely night and day difference) so I am pleased thus far with the kit, but not impressed at all with RC's inability to simply GET the kit to you. I really hope I don't have to contact him for new springs within a year or so (I'm keeping my fingers crossed, since all the issues seem to pertain to the 4" kits) but even though the customer service is good, its silly to have to call back this many times to simply get everything you need to install the kit IMO.

I will post pics in a few days.

Same issue here. I removed the shims to correct my pinion angle after the 8.8/SYE install. I didn't consider it a negative though. In my mind it was more of a positive because it goes to show that every part in the process was designed with each component in mind as opposed to slapping together a bunch of universal parts and calling it good. A few minutes down to the hardware store and a couple of bucks and I was golden.
