Which gear? It was probably from your TC drop, I believe and someone correct me if im wrong, if you loosen the two bolts on the bottom of the skid it should some how correct the movement of the tc. I read that from somewhere, but havent done it myself.

I have the same issues as you, I just unbolted my rubber shift boot from the floor and it works fine, other then reverse, I have to hold that in very tightly and I cant really use it for a long time.

I remember reading that you have to remove the rubber boot and then shift to 2nd and 4th and reverse to see where the trans tunnel is hitting. You may have to trim a TINY amount of the tunnel off due to the trans drop. I had to trim about 1 inch on one of my Jeeps and only about a 1/16th on the other. I could have gotten away on the last one without trimming, but I already had the boot off so might as well.

Also, has anyone heard from Ryan in the last week. I've posted my problem here and PM'd him but haven't heard anything.
Give him a call. I spoke with him either Monday or Tuesday about boomerang shackles.

Just out of curiosity, in the pics that you posted on the 11th, do you still have your rear rubber bumpstops intact? I see a lot of YJ's where they have rusted and fallen off. If you installed the axle bumpstop correctly, but don't have the one attached to the tub still, what you described can happen.

Ask me how I know. It happened to me. Not a big deal because I planned on cutting and getting corner guards anyway.

Yeah, I put in the extended ones that came with the kit. Ryan is sending me out 2 new rear springs, but I still have body damage to deal with due to the kit. Now I'm going to have to spring for some rear corner guards to cover it up I guess.

But hey... you get what you pay for.

And your rubber uppers are still there? Even if the springs sagged, I don't see how they would damage the body with the extended stops and the rubber. Would seem that you would just get less clearance and flex. Mine happened because mine fell off long ago and my TSL SS bias are big for 33's. I can't imagine your Grabber AT's being able to do that.

bumpstops were on mine, going back on with the 35's, but still in good condition, only issue is that somewhere i seem to have a bend in my front spring, on flat dround my driver shackle is bout a half to 3/4 inch forward, no damage visable on the spring but will be checking it with the new axles at the beginning of the month

Some people take pride in their Jeep's appearance in addition to wanting a worthy offroad vehicle. I think he's got a right to be a bit upset. Personally, I shrugged and it was no big deal when it happened to me. Same with any other scratches I've gotten. At the same time, I don't want to be driving around in a rusted out, banged up beater either.

TheNewbie, how much backspacing are you running?

If you would have looked at the picture you would see that it is not as simple as replacing the fender flare. The fender flare is fine since, but the damage comes out about 3-4" from the flare. If I go through the woods and scratch the paint on some tree branches that's fine, if I drop the YJ on some rocks and dent it that's fine... I made the choice to go to those areas. But having body damage occur while driving down the road due to a crappy product does get under my skin. Now if you want to drive a beat up piece of $*** I have no problem with that... It's really none of my business. But if I want to keep my vehicle in a nice condition that's really none of your business either!!

i didnt say replace the fender flare, easy repair though, just saying its a easy repair. its sheetmetal bro, take off that back part of the flare, help it a little and bend it back, then place 2 sheet metal screws in there, and put the flare back on, you wont see it nor really know its there. Just dont see how because of something so small you now think you gotta make a deal bout getting corners on it.

not to mention you said it in your post, you get what you pay for, you didnt pay 1000 bucks on a lift kit and had this issue did you? you knew what you were buying right? this thread been going for a long time.
