I think my stock wheels are 8". Does anybody know of any other reason RC would say run 33 x 10.50's?

backspacing probably. wider tires on stock rims will rub on the leafs, aftermarket rims with different backspacing will move the whole tire outward, avoiding most or all of the rubbing problem.

I'm getting ready to start ordering parts for my lift. I'm going with the 4" so I'll be running 33x12.50s. What kind of backspacing should i be getting on my wheels? Is a 4" BS ok?

Bought my 4" RC lift going on a year ago. I called RC talked to a sales guy and he informed me then that some changes went on with the springs etc. I installed the lift (first timer) with no problems. It did settle (normal settling i believe) but has not sagged as stated in the posts above.
The ride is great, i've not wheeled it much but it does good when i do. Anyways |

It's the price that gets me.
1.5" RC lift for $400. 4" RC lift for $430? That's a whole lotta extra lift for the price of a case of beer.

I think its the whole supply and demand thing, more of the demand. More people probably buy a 4" so they can charge less for it. I could be wrong.
