Restrictor Removed?

What is this restrictor that everyone is talkin about? What does it do?

It is a little plastic thing that looks like a crescent moon. Its on the inside of your intake pipe. I'm not sure why its there, some people see a power increase some don't.

It creates a venturi effect. What it does is speeds up the air flow to cause a vacuum in the Evap Canister and Crank vent. So it draws out the fumes re-enter the engine.

I saw no difference with it in or out. I've got a custom air tube so it's not in there anymore anyway.

I've tried this, and I must say: I didn't notice any difference. No change in gass milage, no power increase. I've droped in a turbo tube now, and you can definatly notice the difference.
