I am assuming you mean a stretch also. They go hand in hand. I didn't use cherokee springs, but ford ranger. Same concept.

I've seen a few with shackle reversals, which if i remember correctly isn't very safe on the road. This is my DD we're talking about.
You better take every stock 1st gen toyota 4runner off the road then.
My front suspension stretch is also a shackle reversal.

Bad title on the original

It is really a YJ front stretch

Wondering if anyone is interested in various wiring/picture/exploded diagrams and write-ups of basic maintenance and how to's. For example Drum and disk brakes removal procedures, step by step picture guides, how to adjustments, and troubleshooting symptoms.

I don't know if most people on here by now will just consider it common knowledge stuff or if it's worth the extra time posting it all.

I have addressed MANY of those basic things in my write-ups.

Check the FAQ section for most of them!

Emergency brake handle conversion
I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I know guys have moved their ebrake to the floor between the drivers seat and the door. Most have found junkyard ebrake handles and put them in. A write up on this would be great!
Just in case you're wondering, the reason I want to change mine out is because I think the stock ebrake pedal assembly is crap. Mine pops out every once in a while and I'm tired of worrying about it.

I also want to tires to sit outside the wheel well but don't know what I would need to buy to do it. any kind of write up would be a ton of help to me

V8 (5.2) in a YJ

I did a search and nothing came back so I'm going to post the question. Has anyone changed out the I-6/5 speed for a 93 ZJ's power train? The donor is a 5.2 (318) with an overdrive automatic. I have access to this 93 that was rolled and the 4.0 is tired. Thanks

squeaky clutch

Would like to see something regarding a squeaky clutch. It seems to to be coming from where the hose meets the bell. not sure what is there if it needs lubed or how to lube it. sprayed PB Blaster all around and nothing. It seems that the longer I drive the stiffer and squeakier the clutch gets.

Any suggestions?

HELP

I can't help you with the squeak, but you should ask this as a YJ tech thread. Most people may not look in here.

How about a basic maintenace write up on checking and greasing the front wheel bearings, etc?
that would be a big help for newbies....
