That should be a good swap, the truck motor will have 4 bolt mains and since its the newer style motor with centerbolt valve covers all the tpi stuff will bolt right on. I would try to keep the serpintine pulley setup as well.

I'm not certain the TPI intake will bolt to the TBI center bolt heads without modifying the center pairs of holes. I may be wrong but aren't TPI intakes based on the non centerbolt heads.

On centerbolt heads the inside pairs of bolts go in at a more vertical angle

They will work the I had to modify the manifold to fit my 305 heads. The only difference in bolt angles are from fi or carb. It's only the 4 center bolts that are differnt instead of being almost perpindicular to the heads they are more perpindicular to the ground

I modified a old style holly manifold to work on a motor that had a tbi setup and it was pretty simple. I was under the impression my tpi baseplate would bolt right on eventually with out needing to be modded.

you know that pulley doesnt unbolt like that right? its pressed on and needs a puller to be removed, they have cheap ones that work ok at advance for about 30 bucks.

+100

That's not a bolt it's a shoulder for a puller to grab onto

you can rent these pullers at most parts stores

It is deceiving though it looks like an allen wrech would fit into the center of the pump shaft.

The intake will bolt up. The heads are the same. It's only the older pre-efi smallblocks where you need to drill the center intake bolt holes to fit an efi intake on.

the pump will come right off with a pulley puller.

Thanks for the info on the pulley! Wow I feel like an idiot! I was hittting that Allen with an impact and a big ol torque wrench, no wonder that went no where! I'll get a puller this weekend ( got to love the loaner tools at autozone)
