My YJ is in AL and I was gonna look at the JY here in FL this weekend. Does anyone have the measurements on the bolt holes front to back and side to side for an early YJ? Thanks!

Just to confirm, you did take the seats completely off the Cavalier sliders/seat brackets and bolted them to the factory Jeep sliders?
Are they for sure different brackets? I got a '90 and I'm lookin for a direct bolt in so don't wanna end up buying seats that won't work for me.

Did you find that list? I have gray cavalier seats already swapped in but really want to find some black seats. I know there are some direct swaps that had black interior options but can't remember what they were. (That will be the absolute last thing to make my jeep entirely black inside and out)

thanks in advance

I found some seats out of a '94 Cavalier for $30.... anyone try this year yet?? Don't really have the place or materials to fab up different mounts so I kinda need the bolt in stuff when possible....

EDIT: owner measured the bolt holes for me and they are 14.25" front to back and 12" side to side.... measured the Jeep and they are fine front to back but 2" too narrow side to side....

I put these in my jeep 2003 4 door not a direct fit. I have heard that 2 doors are a direct fit. I had some work to do, but I used the cavalier sliders and I could not be happier. Check the seats my driver seat had a cracked weld where the back portion meats the lower back support inside the back of the seat. Confusing I know. Just check your welds.

I was in the wrecking yard and I was measuring up some seats and also I measured up a couple Jeeps that were there. The 92 YJ that was there, the spacing side to side on the seats was about an inch closer than my 91 and the 92 I measured while there. So it would seem there is some truth to there being 2 different risers out there. In any case, I picked up a set of leather seats out of a 97 Chevy Blazer and these were a direct bolt in. I didn't use the Chevy sliders as that was all power stuff and I left it all there, the seats are bolted onto the stock Jeep sliders. The drivers also has power lumbar adjustment, which was an easy 2 wire hookup. The seats are kinda tight to my center console but then again so were the stock seats. I really like them, the dark gray leather is a perfect match for the rest of my interior. I also measured some Explorer seats that would also fit as the bolt spacing was the same, but these would be the same deal of leaving all the power motors in the donor. I passed as they only had tan seats at the time.

Just want to know if I am looking at the right measurements

Corvette seats

Seats from a 1991 Chevy Corvette. All you have to do to make these fit is remove the bottom cushion and notch the holes to fit the factory Jeep seat track, use some bigger washers and bolt it down. Pretty simple, took me maybe a half hour with an air pencil to notch it and align the seats. They fit great and look great. You can still get new foam and leather for them too through Eckler's if you want to re-do them like new.

YJ Seat Upgrade..

I know this belongs in the Seat thread but I could not wait to share...

I was so dang tired of my clunky old wore out seat in my 95 YJ and after reading the awesome write ups about folks swapping out seats with other kinds I went to the Junk Yard and found me a nice set of seats out of a 2001 Grand Am and OMG after dealing with trying to get the old seats off the old risers and slider and that sucked... But after that the seat bolted right up and God they feel awesome and ride perfect.. I will post pics as I know everyone has seen them before.
