I was thinking about keeping the padding on the factory bars after i added some tubing to my rollcage but i opt to take them off and felt it looks a lot better without them.

Hey, do you know if there is any paint that you can use to paint that style of flares? Mine are painted, but it's real thick and all cracked up.
Try using Krylon Fusion, it work's well.

uhm....I still don't understand why you can't get it off that whole bar can be removed and you can just slide it off....anywho I have a 91 yj with the sport roll bar I'm not reusing my padding...pm me if interested

You can only get sport bar padding in black now? I had one that was made by Bestop on my YJ I had a few years ago, and it was spice/tan. I think it was originally purchased around 03/04 though.

after more PB blaster, WD40, etc. the zippers are stuck. looks like i will have to cut them off
