Replace Dash lights

Hello all! First time Wrangler owner here.

I am looking to replace the dash lights on my 95 Wrangler to blue. I bought some #194B's at the local parts store but they arent bright enough. I was wondering if anyone has changed their bulbs with Blue LED's or something similar thats much brighter? I am looking for a direct replacement of the #194's

Thank you.

Search around... I remember seeing this a while back. Someone swapped in some LEDs. I'll see if I can find anything....

ETA: Found some. Search "194 LED" on google. Here is the first link... http://autolumination.com/194.htm

I did see those after some searching. I was hoping though there was someone around who had first hand experience with them to vouch for their brightness? Unless these are the ones that the person used?

Those wont be bright enough.

www.superbrightleds.com has some really nice LED 194's, but (at least on my YJ) the light is shined onto the gauges, so I dont know how good its going to light up.

I swapped all my dash bulbs to #194 white LED's. First I ordered some cheap ones off ebay from hong kong...don't bother, they're not worth the 12 bucks. Ended up buying my current LEDs in a group buy through a local car club. They're nice and bright, and light up all the gauges really well. Total cost of bulbs was $70 IIRC (for 11 LEDs)...not cheap, but high quality with a lifetime replacement guarentee. One thing is that they DO NOT work with the dimmer switch....they're either on or off, no in between (which is weird, since the same bulbs in other cars will dim, just not in the jeep...maybe its something to do with the type of dimmer switch)

Try searching the TJ forum, it's a pretty popular mod over there. You should be able to find tons of reviews and suppliers.

How many LEDs do you need to do an entire dash? (No glove box or ashtray)

The older I get, the better I was.

I know that these guages are not the factory ones, but you can still do the leds in your factory guages as well.. I did the led bulbs in my jeep. Best thing with the leds, is that you can get any color you want and they use alot less power and last longer. The only real downfall to doing this is that you will have to get a contoller hooked into the circuit to be able to dim them down, But i found that with my Leds, Iam able to dim them down enuff to make it look good.. You can get the bulb right off of ebay. I will tr and find the seller where i got them from and will post it here..
This is one of he best mods i have done in my jeeps.. here are a few pics of what it look like..
