This is false. Given that my 8.8 has c-clips and needed to be reinstalled AFTER the locker was installed.

Some d30's absolutely had c-clips. Only on the passenger side to keep the center shaft in place during production process. This process was only done in some YJ d30's, the majority do not have c-clips.

That is absolutely correct in what I said. My D30 had a c-clip on the passenger side axel. When you install the lunch box it eliminates the use of it. No where in this entire conversation where we talking about an 8.8

And you do not NEED the c clip on the center axle regardless of a locker install or not. It was apparently a factory ease of assembly thing.
