A class III receiver is as about as strong of a pulling point as you'll get. Added weight and less departure angle are drawbacks.

Most of us (people I wheel with) just drill holes in the side of the frame rails in front of the rear bumper and mount them there. You need to drill and tap for 1/2" dia. bolts with whatever threads necessary. They have always held strong for us. If it's muddy, sometimes it gets kind of sticky under there.
