Rear U joint Problem-vibration while towing

Help I am on the road to Florida and towing my YJ. So here is the problem-the rear u joint is worn and causing a vibration. Can I pull the drive shaft off with out the transmission leaking and continue on down the road. Quick info or opinions would be appreciated. Thank you - Skip

Take the rear bolts off the diff yoke and Zip tie the shaft up out of the way. If you pull the shaft( it will come out if you don't zip tie it good) it will loose the tcase fluid.

Are you flat towing??? I would unbolt both shafts anyway, just to be safe.
