rear tow hook mounting.

I don't have a frame hitch and frankly don't have the money for one at the moment. Where can I bolt on these stupid tow hooks in the rear!!! The only predrilled/threaded hole is in the center/bottom of the frame rail under the center of the bumperette. The problem is, If I used a generic hook, the second bolt would get in the way of the shackle. What am I sposed to do?? Any pics of rear hooks??

Prime Lord,

I just went out and tryed the tow hook mounting at the predrilled holes and it is only a 5/8 bolt I think might be even amaller now that I think about it, holding the hook there, I don't think that will hold out if a good tug is required. If you find anything out please let me know. I have seen some guys drill holes in the side of there frames and put them on there.

The Ideal thing is to get a hitch. I think it's class 3 or something like that. (big ole' thing)
On mine they had to take the bumperettes off and then put the hitch on using the bolts and holes into the frame that the bumperetts have. I've yanked on that thing a lot when towing people out. and It doesn't even seem to try to fall off or bend or anything. ....and it wasn't that expensive. for a hundred or so it's worth it.

I don't think we need one. I'm pretty sure nobody really minds the padding here, it's all in good fun. i didnt mean to start anything I just thought it was funny so I guess we can take the rest of this post right over to tow hooks.
