rear end noise

I have a 8.25 rear end that is making a clicking noise while driving. Faster I go faster the clicking noise. Put on jack stand and spun tires by hand no noise, start it up in gear and clicking noise returns. Pulled diff cover and no chipped teeth anywhere. Also u joints are good. Is there something im missing, any other ideas?

It may not be the in the axle, possible transfer case or transmission problem. Have you changed the fluid and inspected the old? I had a clicking in my trans but it was only in third gear, I drained the oil and found a tooth. Just a suggestion.

Checked rear u-joints again while turning driveshaft by hand and found a bad joint. Replaced and no more noise.
