rear end locks up in forward but not reverse

I just finished putting gears in my rearr end. I got it all back together and it will not go forward but it will go backwards. I. Haven't put my yoke on yet because I am waiting got one would not having the yoke on cause it to do this. Everything seem to turn fine till I pit my tires back on snd set it on the ground. Any input would be great

You mean it foreward and backward with the tires off the ground?

Locks up with tires on the ground. Spin freely when it was on the jack stands

Can you say "pinion depth"?

While not funny (well, maybe to some of us ) my guess is that the carrier now has some fresh gouge marks since its not meant to be part of the brake system.
