Rear Door Hinges

Does anyone know if you can adjust the rear door hinges on a 92 YJ. I have an awful rattle that is driving me crazy. I know that I am going to have noise, but it sounds like the door is going to come off. When I open the door, you can see it sag off the frame. I just need to tighten the hinges somehow?

I'd first look at the tailgate assembly's bracket & reinforcement, see if their out of alignment.

I'd second look at the latch & striker assembly. The striker itself has plate, shim, and washer. Your shim may be gone. Plus check the striker cover (housing) for loosening.

Final 'guess. The pair of tailgate hinges are one piece design. You could shim the space between the hinge and the tailgate with something, then retighten the torx.

I drilled out the hinges on mine and replaced the pin with a 1/2 inch bolt.
