rear differential noise

I have a 1992 Jeep 4x4 and have been experiencing a type of growling noise in the rear differentials when turning a slow corner. This especially happens on a hot day. Does anyone else have this trouble? The noise is not like a metal type noise like metal grinding metal, it's almost like one side is trying to catch up with the other side. Like I said like a low growl. I have less than 65,000 miles on the Jeep and am in process of doing a complete tune-up. I was just hoping that maybe one of you guys may know what it was before I tore the rear end apart. Is this a common noise? It has the Dana35c with the limited slip. Any comments would be appreciated. By the way it does also have a lift with the bigger tires. I know the tires and lift are installed correct and all is balanced. Thanks again
