what is the axle out of? 3.08 is ok with a 3.07, but if its out of a wrangler he made a mistake, never made a 3.08, its probably a 3.07. i would pull the cover and check to be sure.

Is there any other way to see what gears are in the rear end besides pulling the cover. All the wrecking yards have the car just not sure what the ratio is and don't want to pull the covers to find out. The rear end I thought I had ended up being 3.37 gears.

Really? My first two posts in this thread had that link! Just about every question you asked could have been answered had you just read it when it was posted...

Anticanman I read threw that stuff again and I didnt find the answer as to where I can go in my area to purchase the rear end with the right gear ratio. Man I hate when people just off to being a smart*** before they understand what someone is talking about. I couldn't ask for a better place to come for info thanks for all the help.

Anyone ever bought or heard anything about east coast gear supply? They fabricate those diffs so when u get them u just. Pot them on all the brackets in place and the right yoke for drive line looks like its going to run me around 900. I just got 1600 extra dollars to spend on the jeep repair witch would be the best way to go?
