RC lift spring break-in time
I just installed my Rough Country 3" lift yesterday. After installing it I measured that I gained 4.75". I have heard that the new springs loose about an inch after they break in, and I know my old ones were a little flat, but how long (or far) does it take for them to break in? They are really stiff, and has a real jerky ride. Also, how do they ride once they are broken in? THX

It usually takes about a month or two, depending on how you drive it. If you off-raod a lot, it takes less time. The ride is really smooth once they are broken in, I love mine.

mine are still setteling in it seems. and getting better and better. Just a tip though. Lossen your shakels tell they are just barley tight and then put some lock tight on the bolts to keep them there. that will help out a ton on the ride of the lift. also go and find the roughest and most wash boarded road you can find and drive in it pretty fast for about 45 minuts. and that will just about do it for you. LOL that what I did. amasing diffrence.
