I usually just do the accelerate slowly to about 20mph and then SLAM on the breaks trick. Most of the water just runs down the windshield then with only a minimum finding it's way onto my crotch...

This is the only solution. Plus it cleans your windshield.

Done the brake thing and prop old top up with a stick but I am thinking the pvc bow might be my next attempt

When I sold my old bikini top, I gave the guy my piece of pvc with it and he was like "whats this for?" and I said just put it across the roll bars when you know its going to rain. I got a text the next rainy day saying "I can see why you gave me the pvc now" lol
