Radio issue

How do you shut this radio off I've tried everything and could you fit a gps head unit in this slot?

it says press and hold the SOURCE (SRC) button til it turns off

A simple soulution would be to wire it to an ignition circuit, one that is hot when the key is on...

Press and hold the SOURCE button (center silver button on the left side) for two to three seconds.
