I have some JC Whitney brand racing seats that I installed 4 years ago. The sun has taken its toll on the fabric and they are tearing. Does anyone know of a cover that will fit a generic racing style seat? I don't care about the harness slots, I can cut those myself. The seats were only $150 each but I don't feel like shelling out another $450 for new ones that will just do the same thing.
I don't think a regular Jeep seat cover will fit...
I don't think you will find covers for those seats. You could get some seat savers from one of the suspension seat manufacturers, but they will probably run $50+ each and are made to cover the seat for storage more than to sit in. JCW has the black version of that seat on sale now for $100. I don't think you'll have much luck getting it recovered for less than that. You might check with a local upholstery shop to see what they would charge.
So I found a seat cover made by Dickies at Pep Boys for $24.99 that fits these racing seats pretty snug. All I need to do is make slits for the 5 point harnesses.
In case anyone is having the same problem.
Glad I found this. I bought seats from JC Whitney about 4 - 5 years ago and they're now gray instead of black, but I got them buy one get one, so I REALLY don't wanna spend too much more. No Pep Boys anywhere near me though, you have model number or anything for the covers you got? Mine the reclining version, maybe they'll fit.
