Quick Skid Plate question

I need a new transmission and transfer skid plate for my 93 YJ, its a 2.5 and I was just wondering will any 87-95 work? Or is there a difference between a 4.0 and a 2.5?
Thank You
Mitch

The distance for tans mount is different for 2.5 vs. 4.0. It can be installed and redrilled and doesn't compromise the skid at all.

I've wondered that myself, mostly just because there's a second set of holes on my skid.

I just put a factory skid on my 91 YJ w/2.5 & AX5 that came off my 89 YJ w/4.2 & AX15. Yes, the mounts are in different locations, but there are holes for both. I believe any skid will do, you do not have to look for 4banger skids only.
