quick Q.. NP231 fluid capacity?

How much fluid does the NP231 T-case hold and should I use ATF 4 or 3??

takes 2 quarts ATF. not sure what you mean by 3 or 4. in the haynes manual the t-case calls for 2 quarts of dextron/mercon III ATF, which is equivalent to dextron/mercon II, if thats what you mean? ???

Just whether its ATF 3 or ATF 4. I heard that either can be used but just wondering.

Mine says 2.2 pints of ATF dextron 3. When I filled it I used 1 1/2 quarts till it ran out the fill hole. :shrug:

Filled min today, it took about 1.75 quarts.
