Yes its called hub conversion and it pretty much changes the unit bearing set up to a d44 like setup. but you dont get much streanth from it but you do get lock out hubs they are about $800. Mile marker and warn make them.

92 yj, 36 sx swamper, locked d30 and locked 8.8.
on the road again.

Supposedly '87-'89 YJs came from the factory with a rebuildable hub, and unit bearings began being installed in '90. Chances are by now most early YJ hubs have been replaced with a unit hub/bearing at some point over the years... I know mine have.
