Question about 8.8 swap

I have an 8.8 out of a 97 Explorer. I have removed all the mounts, re-welded the spring perch mounts at the correct spacing and angle, welded the axle tubes to the housing and redone all the brakes with new brakes and 2 pass. brake lines. I built my own shock mounts from 2X4 steel tubing. I have the yoke adapter from the Explorer and a 1310 to 1330 conversion joint.

My question is about the track bar. In every picture and article that I have been through I do not see the track bar mount being reinstalled on the axle. Is it common to remove this when doing a swap?

Thanks, Chas

I just did this swap and didnt install the trac bar. 99% of YJ owners will say it isnt needed since it is a leaf spring suspension. CJ's didnt have them from the factory.

Just finished my 8.8 swap with the M.O.R.E. kit and they dont even put the trac bar mount in the conversion kit. Not that i cared or even thought about it cuz i lost my trac bars a long time ago. lol

92 yj, 36 sx swamper, locked d30 and locked 8.8.

That's what I thought. I just wanted to confirm it. I have never seen a leaf sprung vehicle with a trac bar before so I wanted to be sure. Thanks for all the input.
