I will be painting tonight. The inside of the fenders and the grille, Hopefully I can get them mounted up and finish up the majority of the body work this weekend.
I will need to fill some dents in the hood, full doors and half doors. I will also me filing some screw holes in the CJ tailgate and prepping it for paint. Maybe looking at paint next week? Might wait to paint until after the Line-x is done haven't decided yet. |

Update 04/27/2009
I got most of what I wanted to get done this weekend. I hate bondo so I didn't end up filling any dents. I did however get A LOT done this weekend. The Jeep is now drivable again, in FWD.
The fenders and grill have all been jam painted. and installed. I got everything in the engine bay installed, the ABS pump was fun. I also got the 8 screw holes in the CJ tailgate welded up and sanded down.![]() Fenders and grill jammed: ![]() ![]() ![]() Grill installed: ![]() The stock radiator bolts right up to the Tj grill in both the 4cyl and 6. Engine bay put back together: pass side ![]() driver side ![]() So on Friday night this is what the front end looked like: ![]() By Sunday afternoon: ![]() Also got the interior completely stripped, had to get the wife to help me remove the roll bars. (thanks honey): ![]() ![]() I love the way the Genright fenders look: ![]() My birthday is coming up and my mother and grandfather are going to pay to have the windshield replaced (it's cracked) |

Well, you have been kicking booty on this project. Looking good. Are you going to the frame with the roll bar on re-installation or leaving it attached to the body?
Looking good.

I run a TJ soft top, so I will be using a Tj roll bar which to start off will just be mounted like a stock unit. However my next project once the red jeep is sold is for a weld in front kit with frame tie ends all around.

Back on topic... dude you stole that Jeep, kinda like I did mine. Happily, no wife for me and the g/f already loves it and she's only been in the Jeep once. That will change in august once she gets back from Cali |

Good to know. I would have never guessed it had to do with the braking system...
