So lets get started.
Got home from work and dragged the Green Yj into it new home in the garage. Started out first removing the squirrels nest the PO called wiring for Cruise control, Stereo and offroad lights. ![]() That was fun, so I moved on to the stock front bumper and ugly rusted and dented rear tub bumper and POS tire cover. ![]() After that it was getting cold and I was getting hungry. So that was it for tonight.

Like everyone else has said, great deal. I just sold my green YJ a few months ago and replaced with an 03 TJ. There is somethin about the YJ I miss. Anyway, I did the same thing to my 89 YJ's rear end I had in college. I pulled out of my buddy's street and the thing exploded. It sounded like a jackhammer. Good excuse to upgrade though

I also find the design of the Tj soft top to be quieter as well. It is just a more up to date design. In order to run the Tj soft top you have to have the Tj roll bars. The top will not work with the Yj roll bars. |

Nice pick. I always have a soft spot in my heart for Sahara's with that paint scheme. Take a guess as to why.

I've been married for 26 years. Just the other day we were cruising around with the soft top down, & a breakthrough happened. My wife said this is kind of nice, almost like a convertible!!
Any other time she'd be complaining about messed up hair, & a crappy looking jeep. Oh yeah, learn to hide most of the receipts! ![]() |

WOW BRO what a deal i to just did a opps did i forget to tell you i bought another jeep. but i spent alot more then the 600 you did. i showed her this post and she said now seee that is a good deal i would not have been mad as long over something like that. since she now knows what a jeep in that shape costs since she bought her own now. props to the deal and the waiting out the time to STEAL it you theft but yet i to have no soul and would have been laughing the whole time too .looking forward to seeing the transformation of this rig''
and what all did it take to get that tj grill and hood to fit was it alot of mod or a pretty simple bolt up i really like how that looks on the leafs. takes almost 10 years off the age of the jeep. if you dont mind i would love to pick your head for all the stuff you used off the tj cuz i know where there is a wrecked one i can pick up cheap

The Tj grill wasn't bad at all. I used the Yj hood and Yj fenders. I ended up going with tube fenders shortly afterwards. I used the Genright tube fenders and only needed to drill a few holes at the rear for mounting with the Yj tub.
