Project dilema

OK I have a dilemma. I have an older CJ 7 that I put together years ago. Has a healthy 360, T-18 with low first gear, Scout Dana 300, Dana 44 front and AMC rear with lockers and AM axles. The tub is in need of replacement, the frame is a 1977 that was painted 5 years ago.

MY DILEMA: should I freshen up the Jeep with a 95 YJ tub OR should I find a CLEAN YJ and put my drive line in?

How welcome is the AMC V8 in the later YJ chassis? Same mount brackets?

Anyone do this before?

I just did a Ford 302 swap with a Ford t18 and np231amc transfer in my 88 yj.. lots and lots of play room in the yj ford t18 almost didn't clear the transmission tunnel because it's considerably shorter than the ba10/5 that was in it I actually have to lenghten my driveshafts lol

My brother and I put a 94 tub on his 86 CJ7 without much in the way of issues. If you like the CJ just re-tub it. I think the YJ had a better frame then the CJ and I've never liked the AMC 20. If you can, find the YJ tub with a good frame and do them at the same time.
