Yeah I know. Between the home search and the family being sick it has been put on the back burner for awhile. I will be going to my buddy's house tomorrow to start working on it again.

He said he has done it on many vehicle including many vans on 42's without any problems. If i was doing it i would cut off both the arms with a band saw. I would just do full high steer because its only going to cost you the little bit of money for an extra arm for the drivers side. So really you would only be saving like 90 bucks if you do crossover. Also if you dont have it machined and just drill it yourself then you only have to buy the drill bit and tap. Ill send you a pm with my number if you have any more question or want to set up a time to come get them.

That is what I was thinking. I would still buy new bolts and hardware but it would still be a little cheaper. I thought that I would be able to use a bandsaw and then grind a little to clean up the area where the arm was. Shoot me a PM and then we can set-up a time to meet up. Thanks Cory.

I haven't converted that rig to high steer yet it just has a x-over steering set up. I would stick with the leaf springs for this build. By the time you buy d.o.m., heims or johnny joints, inserts, jam nuts, coils, new shocks, brackets, time... Lots of little parts that add up to alot of $. Try your local machine shop.
Once I get them I will start checking local shops and see what I can come up with. My first goal is to get a set them move on from there.

Well my plans for tonight has changed. The guy that was going to bring his sand blaster over for me to use is not coming over tonight so now I have to look at doing something else. I haven't done anything on this for some time so i want to get back to work on it NOW!!!!

I am thinking about taking my t-case (Chevy NP241) and tranny (700r) over to our carwash and using the degreaser and high pressure washer to clean them up for paint. What precausions should I take before power washing these off? There are a few "open" ports that I have no idea what they are but I am planning on using plastic and duct tape to seal these off when I wash them. Any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I may take my leaf springs off and get them cleaned up for paint too. I have new greasable boomerang shackles for them too and I may give them a coat of paint also. I am thinking about getting a rebuild kit for the tranny and I hope to get the SYE kit for the t-case by May.
