Problems Accelerating

93 YJ, 4.0, Auto trans.

When I accelerate from a stop, I get a clunking noise and the Jeep bucks and skips several times til I get to around 35 mph. I also hear sometimes a clicking when this happens.

The sounds seem to come from the middle of the jeep and or the front, hard to tell when driving.

My thoughts are the transfer case needs to be rebuilt, or my rear axle may have issues. I have looked at all my U-Joints and they seem to be fine, All of them except the ones on the front axle are new. I replace them once a year whether they need it or not since I have hammered the jeep offroad a few dozen times.

I have another set of axles Im working on to replace my 3.73 to the new ones being 4.10/4.11 from an older YJ. I wont have the new axles ready for a month or 2. I have removed the track bar and sway bar brackets, making a truss for both axles, and putting in new seals and bearings.
