Pro Comp Coil conversion Lift

I took my YJ out for the 1st time saturday after the Pro Comp Coil conversion install although it didn't have the flex of a Leaf spring kit it still out performed my previous Leaf spring kit.

I was able to go through the trail faster and easier than ever before rather than fight it over every rock and drop.

One of my club members who drives a TJ said i flew through the trails with out issues.

I think it made a world of difference over the Leaf springs i use to have.

wait a minute.... let me get this straight.
did you say that your new coil suspension flexes LESS than the leaf spring suspension that was on there?!

i would demand my money back!

Yeah it has great travel but little flex but i can go over many more objects now than before i had to fight to get those freaking Leaf springs over rocks or even logs.

If i knew how to post pix here i would show everyone 2 different pix of flex i had vs what i have now. I noticed that i had the drivers wheel tucked up in the drivers front fender with leafs but not with the coils there was about 4 inches between the fender and the top of the tire.

I think some of you are confusing coil springs with coilovers

I see what you mean. I know there's a difference, I was just pointing out that a coil setup will probably flex harder than a leaf, I would think.

Here's some PIX
Notice how the drivers front tire is not tucked up under the fender like it should be. the 3rd picture is of the YJ sitting on an incline.

What keeps the tire from traveling up farther? Are the springs that stiff?

It could be that the springs a stiff and the bushings were at around 30 degrees Temp wise.
