power ?

What is a good power upgrade that won't send the YJ computer into hysterics? How can I get more out of my 4-banger without yarding it or the PC out?

How can I use a header with out computer malfunction?

You go back to the basic rule in power, if you let it breathe it will pay you back with horsepower. Some upgrades include

1) Intake-
taking out the restrictor in the airbox http://www.concentric.net/~jman/jeepmods.html
or getting rid of the airbox all together and replacing it with a funnel type setup

2) Exhaust-
replacing your exhaust with a more free flowing exhaust

3) Misc-
upgrade your plugs, wires, ignition, etc. http://www.msdignition.com/

4) Throttle body-
two options with this one i've seen so far
a) replace the 2.5l throttle body w/ 4.0
b) buy or fabricate a throttle body spacer one place you can go is here http://www.poweraid.com/

5) Increase bore-
must be technically proficient any time you start messing with the inside of your engine

6) Supercharger-
buy an aftermarket supercharger (big $$) or
use your junkyard war skills and find an old supercharger and modify it to fit a jeep

7) pull the whole thing out and put in a 4.0 or a V8

One of my buddies was telling me that you cannot have a Throttle Body Spacer and a Air Intake system together...I have made an Air Intake system myself using my factory air hose...can i still install one?

Hmm, I've got a 4.0L TB, Poweraid TB spacer and a custom air intake on my 2.5L. I guess I better take two of them out, too.
