Is it possible to put ROUND headlights in a YJ?

OK... Don't shoot me...

I know some of you are VERY fond of the SQUARE headlights in your YJ's, but does anybody know if it's possible to put round headlights in a YJ? Does somebody (aftermarket) make a kit for this?

Do a search for the CJ front clip conversion. This is asked almost daily. Go a few pages back and I think someone has a thread on it.

Real jeeps have square headlights

Monk-
I'm looking to buy a Jeep (my second, had to sell my '90 when my daughter was born) and am thinking I want another YJ. I like everything about the YJ (leafsprings, much more room inside than a TJ, cheaper, easier to work on, etc...) but have never cared for the SQUARE headlights. Even when I owned one.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind....

You can either swap a cj grill, or if you're lucky maybe you can find one of the yj grills for round head lights. Yes they do exist. I believe the yjs with round head lights were sold in like arabia or something, not quite sure, but they do exist.

new sig!

swapping a CJ grill is the easiest to get ya round lamps.

there was a company that was working to produce a round headlight conversion grill, but DC stopped them over copywrite issues.

You have to swap the whole front clip, not just the grill.

They are actually rectangular, not square

I thought you could still get the YJ grill with the round headlights from Quadratec or 4WheelDrive.

Northjeep...is that a YJ with the round lights? did you change those to round or is that one that might have come with the round ones? I, like others, prefer the round light look. if anyone finds a link or some specific direction on this...let me know so i can follow suit. thanks.
