Posilok Installation

alright, so i know there are threads about this all over the forum but i cant seem to find one that completely answers my question. i bought a posi lok system from quadratec. my first question is what am i capping off with the cap provided by posi lok. my second question, since im almost 100% certian my 4wd vacuum lines have been rerouted, can i just cap off the four vacuum lines coming out the top of the tcase,or will that do something to the system to affect the posi lok? i dont see why i cant if the posi lok system replaces the vaccum lines going into the front axle?

you only need to cap the feed line from the engine to the transfer switch (should be a red plastic hose) and yes you should plug it off so you dont have a vac leak

Yeah. They are useless. Cap 'em.

Here's some help on wiring it up if you need it.

the 4 lines on the transfer case do not run "into" it. only one runs into it.. the rest run out to the front.. Just plug the red line at the engine. The rest dont matter but if you insist you can plug them

When I did a home built posi I capped off all the lines that came into the CAD housing and it worked fine the vacuum actuated 4WD light still worked. Later I put a solid shaft in and pulled all the vacuum lines to the tcase out completely and replaced the vacuum switch with an electric one like TJ's have and wired that in so the 4WD light would still work. That switch is about $12 a Napa by the way.
