Thank you good sir. It sure does appear so. I noticed my tire was barely touching the fenders and I'm sure my stock ones were touching. I'm still up in the air about the inserts. I primed the steel backing plate and I need to get an aluminum etching primer for the aluminum ones.

I noticed a good bit of heat was venting out of the sides so I'd like to put a vent of some sort there. I even toyed with the idea making louvers out of the backing plates. Not sure how they would turn out though. Maybe I'll go to Lowe's and see what they have for vents.

i picked up my fender vents/louvers from GenRights garage sale section. they were only like $20 to my door. not sure if they still have any for sale.

Louie, I've got these I'll send to you if you want them:

We had them made up as a prototype and never put them into production so I still had this first article pair laying around. If you want them, PM me your shipping address and I'll have them sent out.

Thanks Dusty!

Got your PM, I'll have Starlie send these out to you.

Yeah please send those back if its not too much trouble. We can use them on one of the shop Jeeps here. Also if its not too much trouble, could you temporarily install the Spyder cutout ones and take a few photos for me before sending them back? I'd like to have some shots for our photo galleries

No problem. I've not touched the aluminum inserts (no paint) but I have primed the steel ones because they were starting to get surface rust. I'm sure you can still use those just letting you know.

I'll bolt the aluminum ones on today and get some shots. I may try to limit the pass. side due to the dents from a tree. But I'll include a few.

Once I get the package for the louvers I'll ship the others back to you in the same box.

Thanks again!

Awesome deal, Poison Spyder just hooked you up with a one off deal for your YJ Louie. Very jealous.

I know. I can't believe how lucky I am.

As promised, here's some pics of the fenders with the PS logo inserts.

Thanks!

As much as I hate to say it, meetings are getting harder to get to. I'm about to move up to Knoxville, TN at the end of this month. However, I'd still like to stay involved and participate in rides if possible.

G.C. should plan a trip to Windrock soon.

Hmmm...

Yep it does help ventilate. But I do like the simplicity of the louvers PS is sending me. My jeep is definitely not very flashy and I don't feel like it does the logo's justice. The logos just don't seem to fit with my mish mash build. What do you think?

If I can find forest green I plan on putting that on it.
