Please Help Me! 89 YJ Wiper Switch Inop...

Hello,
My brothers 89 YJ's wiper switch on the column does not want to work right. My main question is, how do I get the darned thing out of the column. I've already pulled the steering wheel, clocking ring, and turn signal switch. There appears to be a plastic tab inside the switch that is holding it to the column... No idea how we are supposed to get that out... Any help is greatly appreciated.

well, figured it out...

Turns out the previous owner decided that the stock Jeep windshield wiper switch arm wasn't cool enough for him/her and installed a GM-style lever. The indexing tab on this lever was not long enough to reach down into the switch to turn the contact wheel thingy. So a quick trip to our welder and a quick file and shape of the weld and we had a GM-style lever that actually works...

In other news, the steering column shell is now sitting in the passengers seat lol. Ahh the fun of owning a Jeep...
