Please help deciding between tires??

Own a 95 YJ jeep that currently has Pro Comp Mud tires - 31x10.5.15 - that are very worn and need to be replaced.

I am debating between the following tires (keeping the same size):

- Firestone Destination AT
- BFG All Terrain TA/KO

I do 90% on road and 10% off road driving. Would like my new set to be much quieter than the mud tires I have on now. I like the look of the Destination AT's a little better than the BFG KO.

Does anyone have any experience with each of these tires? They seem to be very similiar and I am leaning toward the Destination AT becuase they are cheaper and I like the look?

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS??

Thank you all very much ~

IMO the BFG is the better tire of the two as far as offroad performance and the Firestone is better for onroad IMO. We run the firestones on our company trucks

TrXus MT's - very quiet on the road for an aggressive tire and great off road...

the BFG's would be my first choice....

we got a little over 50k miles out of them on our Z71... not bad for a tire with some bite just keep them properly inflated and rotated and they should last you quite a while.

the firestone is a good tire too but i think the BFG's have a better wear or traction rating, i forget... seems like whichever area the BFG's weren't better than the firestone's they were both equal.... i forget though, it's been a while since we shopped them all out....

check 4 wheel parts and walmart for pricing... walmart had a pretty good deal on bfg's a couple months ago...

I don't know about the Firestones, but I do know the BFGs are great. I have a friend who has 32s and has well over 40,000 miles on them. They wear great, and they are surprisingly good in almost all offroad conditions. BFGs hands down.

I ran BFG KO's in a 35 on my old bronco and loved them. I even used them while rock crawling and they worked good. They also worked good in the sand. This was at a low psi.

Currently running 31 BFG AT's and have been an awesome tire, you stipulate that you do 90% on road driving, well these are great off road (very durable), but are also a fairly quiet and stable on road tire, not a shimmy or shake out of these tires. I have about 10,000 miles on these tires and they look brand new.

my father runs the destinations on his 03 wrangler and has loved em over the stock goodyears. i had trouble getting those to break loose in the snow, and breaking was insane. i have a friend whos had the bfg's and liked those as well. my next set will be the bfg's TA/KM's. but those look noisey. either way i'll think you'll be happy...
